The 10 weeks deposit is dependant on the applicant also agreeing to using the deposit alternative solution. This is because they are required to pay a fee equivalent to 1 weeks' rent. An applicant cannot be forced into making this decision. If they don't opt-in you will be covered for 7 weeks cover. 2 weeks via the agency guarantee (for 1 year) and 5 weeks standard deposit to be registered.
